Problem Note 65994: Using SAS/ACCESS® Interface to PostgreSQL might result in a SAS® program termination event if no schema is specified

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

A SAS program termination event might happen when a user tries to connect to PostgreSQL using S/ACCESS Interface to PostgreSQL. If a user attempting to connect does not specify a schema in the LIBNAME statement and does not have access to the default "public" schema, an exception can occur that causes the program to fail and a traceback to appear in the log.

Here are the workarounds:

  • Add a schema that the user can access to the LIBNAME statement.
  • Make sure the "public" schema exists and the user has access to it.

Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.

After you apply the hot fix, a termination event does not occur for this issue. Instead, an informative message is returned.
